Join our weekend comedy writing course led by Rich Talarico, a Peabody Award-Winning and four-time Emmy nominee with extensive experience writing for shows like Saturday Night Live, MADtv, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Rich shares insights from his experience writing for television and having created 5 resident company shows for The Second City in Chicago.
In this workshop, you'll learn the tools to create hilarious bits. Students learn how to write jokes, blackouts, desk pieces, story structure, character pieces and a variety of scene types, as well as pitching, brainstorming, coming up with endings and more. All in a collaborative environment that encourages writers to discover their inner writing warrior-poet.
